The Cape Breton entry is adorned by a magnificent bald eagle that runs almost the entire length of the 68’ yacht. The eagle is a symbol of Cape Breton Island and is featured prominently on the Island’s official flag. Even the local hockey club, the Screaming Eagles, takes inspiration from the stately bird. Eagles are a common sight on Cape Breton Island, whether in full flight on the Bras d’Or Lakes, or majestically perched atop a cliff in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Eagles are strong, fierce and fast. What better symbol for Cape Breton’s entry in a race! VMP Group, a local marketing firm, did an excellent job in capturing the spirit of Cape Breton Island and the Clipper Race in the design of our yacht’s logo.
